| My favorite woods for creating flutes are both Cedars. Aromatic, for its wonderfully wild grain, color changes and knot patterns, and Port Orford, for its beautiful ,light color and flowing grain. In addition, I enjoy adding contrasting mouth pieces, end caps and rings in many different woods to add a dramatic flare to the look of the flute. As far as the blocks are concerned, the farther outside the design box the better! |
